DAY TO DAY SUMMARY

Meeting Point: Lima City, Peru

Day 1 - Arrival to Lima:

Upon arrival to Lima s airport, reception and transfer to the hotel.

Day - Lima – City Tour:

The guide will pick you up from your hotel to transfer into the Historic Center of Lima to visit San Martin Square, the Main Square or “Plaza de Armas” where the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral and Town Hall are located. We will then proceed to San Francisco Church, a masterpiece of Colonial architecture preserving the best examples of Colonial religious art in America. Then, we will visit the exceptional Larco Herrera Museum, founded in 1926. We will browse the museum display of 45,000 archaeological objects considered to be pre-Columbian art icons around the world; chronologically exhibited in impressive galleries showing the continuous development of 3,000 years of Peru’s pre-Columbian history; after visiting these places, we will return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Lima – Cusco – City Tour:

Transfer to Lima`s airport to catch the flight to Cusco – the capital of the incas empire. Arrival to the city of the incas, reception and transfer to the hotel; time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour of the most important tourist places of Cusco city such as: the Cathedral, the koricancha (the most sumptuous temple of the incas) and the magni cent ruins of Saqsaywaman. Return to Cusco.

Day 4 - Sacred Valley of the Incas:

After the breakfast at the hotel, the guide and the assistant will meet you at the hotel Lobby. This day you will be transferred to the sacred valley, the rst place to stop is Pisac where you will visit its typical artisan market that is a good reason to make a stop and find some unique and authentic souvenirs. After it, you will visit Pisac archaeological place, the Inca site remain somewhat mysterious as to what their absolute purpose was, but it seems likely that they were part of a settlement along a vital Inca road. With the Amazon rain forest to the east of the mountains, it is generally understood that Pisac provided a connecting point of sorts between the highlands and the jungle. Afterward, have lunch at Wayra Ranch and an equestrian show at the restaurant. Finally, you will visit Ollantaytambo town, one of the last Inca cities remaining still on foot. You will enjoy a guided visit of this fantastic place. Also you will visit the archaeological place of this magnificent place. Finally, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Día 5 - Chinchero – Maras – Moray:

Your guide and assistant will pick you up from your hotel and you will drive toward Moray which is an experimental agricultural terrace, it is believed in this fascinating area the Incas created their own micro-climate to adapt plants to this altitude. Continuing with the activities, you head to Maras salt mine which consists of a large number of small saltwater pools, where every three days during the dry season, workers ll the pools with saltwater that comes from natural springs at the top of the Maras complex and when the waters evaporates from the pool Time to enjoy the picnic lunch surrounded by the sacred valley snowcapped mountains. After the lunch, we will drive to the town of Chinchero, this place is known for its textile activity; we will learn about their weaving techniques as well as the procedures to obtain the natural colors to dye the traditional textiles. Return to the hotel.

Día 6 - Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu – Cusco:

After an early breakfast, we will be transferred to Ollantaytambo train station to board the first class train (Vistado me), after 1 1⁄2 hours we will arrive to Aguas Calientes town; here helped by our assistants we will take the bus to up to Machupicchu citadel (20 minutes) – you will have a guided tour supported by trained assistants, following a specially designed circuit, you will receive valuable information on the history of Machu Picchu. Enough time to visit this fantastic place. After the guided tour we will down to Aguas Calientes town to aboard the train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival to Ollantaytambo train station, we will take our private bus to return to Cusco.

Día 7 - Cusco – Lima – Retorno:

Transfer to Cusco's airport to board the flight to Lima, assistance at the airport to board the international flight.
